Positive Thoughts and Happy Living

Human life is a God’s Gift and it is short too; every human should live happily every moment in life. It is our attitude that makes us feels happy or unhappy. The mind is the source of happiness and unhappiness - Buddha. Right attitude helps us to enjoy our life and the people with us, to full extend. Our thoughts in the mind processes power. To lead life happily one should think positively and hold the positive thoughts all the time.

The thoughts we most often think tend to become true. If we think whatever the success we are holding today is because of the positive thoughts processed in the past. What we are today comes from our thoughts of yesterday, and our present thoughts build our life of tomorrow: Our life is the creation of our mind - Buddha.

God created every human with the same power; individual success depends on how we grow and how we develop our attitude. To be successful in life we should understand our weaknesses and strengths, take massive action to convert our weaknesses into strengths. Everybody understands that this can’t be achieved in one day, but this can be achieved if we keep on trying till we see the results

When we think with full and strong concentration about something that we want to happen our mind does not resist the subject of your thought, our thought materializes.

History is full of examples. Abraham Lincoln born in poverty, Lincoln was faced with defeat throughout his life. He lost eight elections, twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown. He could have quit many times - but he didn't and because he didn't quit, he became one of the greatest presidents in the United States history.

We have to tune our minds to think positively and learn to be happy. Everyday when you get up, think, expect and assume that the day will be good and fruitful. And it will happen if you work with the same spirit and mind. Even if you cannot achieve what you expected that day, you will not be disappointed as you have another day to achieve it. Thank God and count your blessings. Thank other people who help you and help them if you can. All these habits make you happy. Once you start experiencing them, you will understand the power of positive thinking.

Some people ask how ‘thinking’ (positive or negative) can work. It’s the thinking that makes you take a step ahead. There is a famous quote (and a book too): “Tough times never last; but tough people do!”

A man’s abilities grow as he/she gains experience and with time. But if you see the problem, it loses value with time. Because each problem has a time frame. If we consider all our problems right from our childhood, we can understand that all problems are time bound. Rarely are they some after effects of the problem, like accidents etc. But generally most of the problems will not last after some period of time. If we try to handle them with positive energy, even that time period (of the problem) will be either less or it will not be worth worrying.

Few Tips for happy living:

  • Stay away from negative conversations and from negative people.
  • Learn to be more patient and tolerant with people and events.
  • Do not hold grudges. Learn to forget and forgive. Nurturing negative feelings hurts us.
  • Think of solutions, not problems.
  • Watch your thoughts. Whenever you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts, start thinking of pleasant things
  • Spend time with happy people and learn from them to be happy.
